There is a guy that lives in the city that I am from that has a very unusual name. A few years back David Letterman made him famous. He was looking for stupid names and I don't know how but he found him. His name is Dick Assman . Funny thing is he put our little city on the map for such a silly thing. Do you know or have you heard of any with a funny name? Please nothing made up just real.

I was watching a news channell a couple of weeks back and I heard, what I thought, was a very funny name. I actually commented to my husband about it, and said I could never marry anybody with a name like that, he would have to change. His surname was Hardick.

When I started this discussion I told my husband I was going to post two other names but I said I did not do it because no one would believe me. But I will anyway. My sister works for social services in our city and she told me about this one it is awful. The sur name was Pigg and the two daughters were listed as Ura and Ima. Honest to God truth, how cruel is this. She also told me of another First name was Minkcoat last name Moosehunter.

I can't stop laughing at that and I just dropped my keyboard which I had sitting on my lap. Thankfully it has survived the crash. That is so funny.

The strangest name we've encountered in the last 60 years in my family was discovered by my uncle. He met the local "night soil man", the guy who used to clean out the septic tanks in the area... his name was "Lavender Crowe".
Ironically, we also have a history of English names in the family; Quick, Cleverly, and Vague. Typical Brits, did it occur to them to include a hyphen? No...
I could have been called Quick-Vague, or Vague-Cleverly...

That's a great name. Here in the Philippines, we have our own list of funny names, a senator named joker, a cardinal whose surname is sin, he is fondly called cardinal sin. One surname is "bagongahasa" when transalated to english means "just been raped". There are also doorbell nicknames here like ding-dong, bang-bang, kleng-kleng,dan-dan,jon-jon and a lot more.
