How can I send a fax from my computer?
I have a document on my computer that I need to fax to someone. But I don't have a fax machine, and really don't want to figure out how to configure my fax modem. Is there a reliable way to fax a document over the Internet?

I am not exactly positive, but I think you need certain software to send a fax through your computer.
Go to download.com and see if they have a free program for faxing. They have many programs that are freeware and shareware, and you may get lucky enough to find one.
Another thing, most places that accept a fax, will accept an e-mail. Call the person/company and see if it can be e-mailed to them instead of faxed.

Since you have a fax-capable modem in your computer, all you need is fax software to turn your PC into a fax machine. Using a fax modem lets you send formatted documents directly from your computer.But i am not sure if its freely available for download.
FaxWizard 2000 is a software which cost around $50...
