Why did your earnings go down?

I've seen many posts asking WHY? Here's a simple guide you should go by according to what I read in Mylot's FAQ: 1) Some of your answers were too short, 2) Your answer was inappropriate or not correct to the discussion, 3) Your answer was rude or impolite, 4) Your question was against the Mylot rules and they cancelled it 5) A question you answered for someone else was cancelled.

Bee, thank you so much for posting this information for everyone. I worry about people who feel discouraged that their earnings are often going down. I personally have yet to ever see my earnings do anything but raise. I hope that this means that I have been following the rules allright. I do try to re-read the Mylot guidelines from time to time and make sure that they haven't added or deleted or amended anything. I think that we should all strive to do so! ^_^

Bee1955, Thanks for posting this. Although I've not noticed a deduction, I've seen others mentioning this. I'm sure your post will be quite helpful to those who've seen this happen with their account. With 1559 posts, I consider you as seasoned here. I am new myself, so perhaps you can offer some guidance. Is there a reward for having an answer chosen as best? And, is there benefit to responding to another's response to a question? Thanks in advance.

Both is the same answer - yes. If you get Best Response and /or rated a "+", and continue to answer responses - you do get paid. Mylot has a new scale so I dont know how much, but they figure it out daily. Also referrals are nice, too. Remember to rate all your answers and other's questions you answer. Good luck!

I just noticed yesterday that this month's earnings had gone down a dollar (of a total of about $10). I noticed that most days had a little bit of money deducted from them (I know because I was tracking how much I'd made each day). I'm pretty sure my answers followed the rules, so I'm thinking that some of the discussions I answered were deleted for being too similar to others that already existed.

The same happened to me by a $2.00 deduction this month. I know I answered a few of those one or 2 word answer discussions so I guess I was penalized as they were canceled. I'm avoiding them from now on!
