Since you have her on the sippy cut, when she is asleep throw out all bottles and pacifiers so she doesn't see them and want to use them again.

What I did was when she was sleeping I put them all away. I didn't throw them away right away just in case. Just put them all away so she can't see them. I know it will be hard when she cries because you will feel bad. That's how it was with my daughter it was heartache but we got through it. Just keep giving her the sippy cup with milk. Hopefully that will work for you. good luck to you...I won't lie you will need it :)

have you tried a sippy cup yet? it takes them a little while and some patience before they completely take to it sometimes. if it really bothers you call your peditrician and ask them if they can gve you any advice.

I hate to tell you this, but throw it away. She will get thirsty enough to drink from something else.

Don't know how old she is, but tell her she can have her bottle-but only with water in it. Put the good stuff into a cup. Kind of a good compromise, she kind of still gets her way. Maybe that'll help. Good luck!!

Just take it away and give her a sippy cup. She may cry and have a fit but she will eventually get used to the cup and forget the bottle.

I threw away all of my sons bottles when I was trying to get him off of it. That seemed to work great for me. Maybe that will work good for you too.

baby bottles - a picture of avent baby bottles
One of my daughters was still drinking out of the bottle at age 3. One day we were driving on the highway and her father threw it out the window and said thats it now its gone and there is nothing we can do to get it back. I'm not telling you to do that, it would be dangerous. What I am saying is throw them all away so she cannot see them anymore.

You can get her a sippy cup called Nuby they are made by playtex they have a silcone sip part instead of the hard part. With my second daughter the doctor suggested it so I tried it and it worked in 2 hours. The doc said they just don't like the feel of the hard spout in their mouth.

Well...i wish you would have waited for the sippy..then i could have told ya what i did,.,,sooo ill work around that lol lol..what one thing is her favorite??make it q cheap thing ..because i used the sippy cup for this..but i dont think it would work since she already had them..say she likes dolls..go buy a doll she would love..or whatever she loves...and that night..put all the bottles oin the table and have her come over..say I have soemthing for you and I will make a deal..I will give you this...for all these bottles..,.giveher the doll then BOTH OF YOU..throw all the bottles in the garbage.,..and then tell her how proud of her you are..and that shes such a biggy girlll!!and give her lots of lovin and praise...try that and let me know how it goes..plzzz..i did that with sippy cups..each night for a week he got a new one and each night we threw out a bottle or 2...he was bottle free that quick..:)

we just took it away. and gave our daughter a sippy cup. we threw out the bottles when we did this to reduce the temptation to give her the bottle again. we did this when she was a year old. she is now 4 1/2

Ok so you have a ton of advice.... I will never throw my bottles out! What if Ican use them for another kid or help out a friend or someone in need... so hang on to them. I had this same problem with my kid too. Man it was very hard to handle. But I started off with a sippy made by gerber. it had the handles on it so they can move and she may have better grip on it. I was lucky I never let my kid have her bottle alone. So she never held it and went walking around. But she did not really like that sippy either. One day we went on a trip to see our families... it is about a 16 hour drive. I went out and got the straw sippy cups. Now see it seemed to work because she was still able to suck just like a bottle. Now she will use anything to get milk or juice in her belly. But I do know wht it is like. I tried everything too... so just hang in there... if she is thirsty enough she will drink it. Good Luck! :)

At 13 months, I wouldn't worry about it yet. I wouldn't let her walk around with it or anything like that but let her keep it while laying in your arms. I would gradually wean her away from it and try to have her off just before her second birthday. Cut one bottle at a time, giving her a cup instead, starting with the one that is least important and ending with her favorite. The problem with bottles in the second year is generally that the child is allowed to walk around with them, sleep with them etc. As long as you don't allow that to happen, don't stress it.
