Market researchers at your door?

They want 10 minutes of your time. What do you do? Ask them to go away? Ask them to come in? Do the survey at the door?

But it never stops at 10 minutes, they can still be talking to you 30 mins later, and that's where the problem lies; most people just don't have the time to spare. If they come to my door I just refuse politely to talk to them. I think it's an instrusion of your privacy anyway, and think they should do their market research in shopping malls - people are more willing to stop and talk there anyway.

Well I never invite any strangers into my house, - especially if I am alone. If they show their credentials, and seem genuine, and I have some spare time, I may chat to them for a moment at the door, but that is all. I always try not the be rude to them, because they're only ordinary people doing a job, and trying to earn some oney, the same as anyone else, but I do get impatient sometimes.
