Mexico - Here is a picture of a Mexican dancer that I took while enjoying a show there.
The only place that I have been to in Mexico so far has been Acapulco. I went there several years ago with my parents and had a wonderful time there and enjoyed nice meals and enjoyed the beaches and did some shopping and sightseeing. It was definitely a lot of fun being there and would love to see other parts of Mexico as well. My parents have been to Mexico City and Cancun and said those places are nice as well.

The only place that I have been to in Mexico has been Acapulco and enjoyed it very much. It was very sunny and warm and enjoyed the sightseeing there. There was plenty to see and do there. The beach was beautiful and the people are friendly there and items are not expensive there. I would love to visit other parts of Mexico as well.

Map of the area of Acapulco - Map of Acapulco showing the different places of interests, especially the location of the beaches.
There are so many places along the Pacific coast which are interesting. Mazatlan, just south of Baja California, Puerta Vallarta, Manzanillo, Zijuantanejo, and Acapulco going from north to south. It has been over 50 years since I was there and I am sure there are tremendous changes since I was there. I loved Puerta Vallarta as it maintains its colonial architecture but it has good hotels. Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton has/had a home there when I was there in 71. Perhaps the resort with the most attractions to see is Acapulco but I'm sure it is over tourized now. The divers from La Quebrada are still breathtaking, I am sure. There are several great beaches especially the Morning Beach which is inside the Bay of Acapulco and somewhat sheltered. If you are looking for big waves then I might suggest either the Marques Beach (where I almost drowned but was saved by a lifeguard in 1956 on my first trip there) or on the west side of Acapulco...the name escapes me. I hope you have a wonderful trip.

Regarding Acapulco, the best morning beach is Caletta, and that is on the extreme west end of the bay, almost out of the bay. It is very calm and nice for swimming. Many families go there. Puerto Marques is east of the bay, like a little separate bay, and also very calm, good for children. 10 km to the west is the quaint area of Pie de la Cuesta, where I spend most afternoons. It has the most beautiful sunsets. Acapulco has the widest variety of nightlife and accommodations compared to any other city. The downside is that it is a very large city, and traffic is very congested: do not try to drive yourself around. Bus service is great.
