May i say that these war moveis were great(my tears fell ans i watched these movies)...the virtue of friendship, brotherhood(disregard of ones life to save another),love, love country and heroism clearly manifested...and as well as disregard for life of those who died in battle by those in power whos hunger for publicity is its main concern...i realy want to recommend this movie for you to watch...peace!

i have watched flag of our forefathers and i really liked it alot. it is a very touching war movie and i am looking forward to seeing letters from iwojima which shows the japanese side of the war. flag of our fathers clearly depict what the government will disregard, who they will use, and just how much they are willing to sacrifice just to win the war. they made the concept of heroism just to get more money to fund their war. but the said heroes in the movie only wanted to survive the war and they cared for their fellow soldiers so much that they would do anything to save each other. they didnt think of themselves as heroes. the government only made them heroes to get money.

I have seen flags of our father this weekend. I also cried. I think the movie was well made. I think Eastwood did a good job with the script. I got real upset when the boy fell overboard and they could not stop to pick him up. I understand why they could not but still I did not like it. I have not seen the letters from iwojima and am not sure I will. I understand that this is the Japenese version of flags of our fathers. This is also directed by Eastwood.

Flags of Our Fathers - Flags of Our Fathers, starring Ryan Phillippe, Barry Pepper and Joseph Cross
I haven't seen Flags of Our Fathers nor Letters from Iwo Jima, looked them up in imdb and found both Flags of Our Fathers and Letters from Iwo Jima have good ratings and good reviews. I have missed both the movie, I think will surely watch this 2 movies soon enough ....
