Comparing babies

I keep trying to tell everone that all babies grow at a different weight and you can't compare babies. Our church just had 7 babies and everyone is always trying to compare them. My daughter was almost 4 months and her bottom teeth popped through. She is also on the larger side about 27 inches and 17 lbs. They say she has teeth so mine should... How do I get them to stop comparing?

I can't stand the people that are always comparing their children to others. I mean it's not a competition!! Every child will grow and develop at their own pace. To avoid the constant comparisons and the "my baby is better than your baby" opinions that I encountered I would just smile and say, "Yes, your baby is very ______ (insert random adjective) but I am sure there are some things that my baby does that your baby hasn't even thought of doing yet". And then I would walk away. I know that's a passive-agressive approach to the situation, but for me it was better than standing there listening to how awesome their baby was compared to others.
