I'm trying to lose 50 pounds. Yes 50 pounds. Although i don't look fat, i am fat. It's not really an issue for me, it's just that my bf has been so disciplined with his diet and exercise, i want to also be disciplined on my diet.
I'm giving myself about a year to get rid of the extra weight. i think roughly 5 pounds a month is a realistic weight loss goal.
I started exercising and lessening my food intake. I had no problems with the exercise, however, i really love food, i would want to eat small portions several times a day. The problem is all the exercising is just maintaining my weight. I need to see my loss soon. My question is, do any of you guys can suggest a low fat low calorie diet that would allow me to eat my small portions a day and have my weight loss?
i've totally stayed off rice already. rice is my major source of carbs. and i've started eating just meat or chicken. chicken without the skin. i'm really determined to lose weight. i bought a whole bunch of health food the other day. It would be way easier for me to have let's say a planned weekly meal, with the calorie counted already.
any recipes and tips? thanks. btw i eat 6 times a day, in extremely small portions. truthfully, i really don't eat that much. i think if you put together all my 6 meals in a day, it'll just be equal to a plate and a half of a regular meal. thanks for everybody who will post a comment.

i have a great recipe for you ,i already tasted and loved, its Mixed Courgette & Cherry Tomato Clafoutis With Cheese, hope you like it too:)
1 yellow courgette, sliced
1 green courgette, sliced
100 g cherry tomatoes, halved
2 garlic cloves, crushed
25 g butter (optional)
2 eggs, beaten
3 tablespoons creme fraiche or sour cream
100 ml 1% low-fat milk
25 g self raising flour
50-75 g grated parmesan cheese
salt
fresh ground black pepper
Pre-heat oven to 200C or 400°F.
Wash and wipe the courgettes - cut into medium sized slices, about half a centimeter or 1/4".
Cut the cherry tomatoes into half - if they are very small, leave them whole.
Cut up the butter into small pieces and scatter over the base of the baking dish.(if you are watching your fat content - you can leave the butter out.).
Add the crushed garlic & scatter over the top of the butter.
Arrange the courgettes & cherry tomatos in an attractive pattern, trying to keep the colours separate!
Add the creme fraiche & milk to the beaten eggs & mix well.
Sift the self raising flour into the egg mixture & stir in well.
Add half of the parmesan cheese, salt & freshly ground black pepper, mix well.
Pour over the top of the vegetables, making sure all the spaces are filled in with the custard/batter mix.
Scatter the remaining parmesan cheese on top.
Cook in a pre-heated oven for between 45 & 60 minutes, or until the clafoutis has risen, is firm to the touch & it is golden brown on top.
Serve as a vegetabe accompaniment, for 4 people or with salad & crusty bread as a light lunch, for 2 people.
Individual ones would make an attractive starter - adjust the cooking time down by about 10 minutes & serve in individual baking dish with a side salad.

50 lbs. is alot of weight to decide to lose. I would first before starting any diet discuss it with your Doctor to really make sure it is necessary and safe to do and ask for a diet and excersise plan. Rule out any health issues.I would also make sure this is for yourself and NOT becuase the BF thinks it important.

this is for myself. Not for my bf. he actually likes me a bit meaty. but i do want to look good when we are together. right now everybody says i'm cute. kinda tired of being referred to as cute.
besides my family has a history of heart disease, diabetes and i want to start getting healthy before anything happens.
I want to go vegan but unfortunately, i gotta have my meat. even for every few weeks. i've already stopped sweets and carbs. also exercising daily.

I found that I lost a lot of weight when I became vegan. It might be worth thinking about following a vegan diet for a while to see if it helps.
If you want some ideas for recipes I have a vegan recipe website that could help:

I would suggest you eat just fruit and veg and no meat, fish, sugar, and fats for a couple of days a week and that will really help, especially if you combine it with exercise.
