Dravid a good captain or not??????

Dravid is good as a batsman, but not as a captain. He is a strong as wall, but waiting for a wallposter. He can stay on to crease, but can't make runs fast. He is a gentleman, and not a worrier at all!!

surely Dravid is a good captain. he has a lot of patients. he can stand up to the critics. he is willing to take advices. he has all the good things. the question is if he is the best captain. well Ganguly sure was a greater captain. but i wouldn't want him to lead India this time as he cannot take another blame. just imagine that he didn't do well in the world cup so as the team. it would be the end of Ganguly. i think most probably Ganguly will be made the captain after the world cup due to poor performance of the team. while speaking of captaincy i have very high expectations on sewag. he will be a captain in the future. no doubt about it. unless he decided to stops his career before it.

give him time he will prove he is good. he is working hard for the team's betterment and his captancy as well ............ as of now i will rate him 60/100

Rahul Dravid has not shown anything that can be good enough to convince the cricket viewers that he is a good captain. There are many things that show him to be a bad leader: 1. He lacks aggression which was the main weapon of his predecessor Sourabh Ganguly, the most successful Indian captain. 2. He takes so many bad decisions. Some examples are inclusion of Sehwag in World Cup squad, and batting first against Bangladesh in the first league match. 3. He lacks the spirit of sportsmanship and seems to be more interested in maintaining friendship with players (Sehwag) rather than thinking for the sake of cricket. We Indians expected too much from him, he is not the one who can lead India to victories.. I think he should resign on ethics and give the command back to Ganguly, develop himself as a good leader and then take the charge in future if he gets a chance!

no matter wat stats say but dravid is a good capt.no at present situation dravid is the best capt.ganguly shoud regain his lost confidence first..any ways ganguly was not performing very well as capt.let dravid continue and wish that our team wins the cup

Dravid may not be as aggressive as Ganguly but I feel Dravid is a good captain and he was proved this by winning many a series in India as well as abroad. Its just the hard luck that some of the key players are out of form and just not striking the right cord. I just wish that this poor form of some of the players end soon and Team India return with World Cup.

Ofcours He is a good Captain, He is Mr.Dependable and THE WALL, he is Technically as good as any one, coming to his Captaincy, what a captain can do if the players are out of form, maost of the players were out of form for the last 12 months thats where INDAI lost many matches, I think thats effected Dravid's batting also, If they play collectively I think India can win the WC,

see what can a good captain can do he can only guidse the team but india need to improve their consistency while performong thats why practice is more important than captain now and when it something about dravid HE IS THE BEST

No, I do not agree with you. In fact ganguly has got the worst record in odi cup finals in the history of captaincy, loosing 8 out of 9. Rahul dravid has lost 2, tied 1 and won 2 in his 5 cup series so far, which is significantly better than Ganguly's. And he has just started. Also, we are seeing the best of ganguly as a batsman after he was dropped from captaincy. Making him captain again may affect his performance as a batsman again, we don't know. As rahul is managing better in preserving his batting skills with captaincy, leave him to do the job. But considering ganguly's rich experience, make him vice captain. This way, he can bat with freedom like now and also offer useful suggestions to the team to bring home the elusive and coveted world cup. Thanks.

i dont think dravid is a good captain....he is a good bats man but not a captain i want sourav ganguly as captain!

Rahul Dravid is not at all a good captain.No doubt he is a good cricketer who can bad well, keep wicket well and all thats why he is called as the wall of Indian Cricket team. But captain and player are two different words. Dravid don't have aggression in ground as a Captain. he never take his own decision and always dependent with Graig Chapel. when ganuly was captain, weather team win or loose all say about ganguly but now if team wins then we will say its Chapels effort and if team loose then we are blaming Chapel means Dravid don't have any role in this scenario.

i think david is nt bad captain.he is not aggressive like ponting ,lara but still he can do well.he is more of like quiet captain as inzy.hope he does well in world cup?

i think ganguly is ot a bad captain.he is more a quiet and less aggressive in his gameplya not like lara ,ponting.ganguly had that attitude but now he is doing well without captaincy.so in all ganguly is good captain

I think the winning record should not mater that much...For me ganguly should just play like a batsman because when he is not under pressure he is playing really very well....When he was the captain he was out of form and not performing whereas dravid is performing well even after being the captain so we should let dravid be the captain
