In 2002, I had been to New Zealand for a month. The flight from Bangalore - Madras - Singapore - Adelaide - Sydney - Auckland took more than 30 hours with stop overs. Then in Auckland, we were put up with a British Family (both husband and wife were importers). We enjoyed the food and company of people. With some friends I visited most of the interesting places in and around Auckland. I participated in a trade fair. I had been to Rotarua Islands, and Maoris workshop on artefacts. While coming back, I took a flight from Auckland-Singapore-Chennai-Bangalore it took 26 hours.

My longest holiday waa when I took 4 months off work to travel all round Spain, England, Italy, Turkey, Greece and France. It was an amazing holiday that I will never forget. The flights were from Sydney to Athens, Istanbul to Athens, Athens to London....the rest of the trip was a combination of excursions by boat, rail and car.

It was not a real holiday, because I intended to work too. I spent a month in Sardegna after I finished the highschool. I lived on my own since my age 16. I did not have possibility, and first of all money to continue study on university. So I decided to go to abroad. First I wanted to go to USA, but it was not simple, because I may not receive the visa, because I was not a student, and I had not not worked for more years in Hungary. I had a posibility to go to work to Italy. So I took all my money, and private things, and went to italy. I met to other young hungarians too. I traveled by train, than with ship. I did not know any italian words, only english, but nobody spoke english in Italy :). So it was not simple. I was too young, and too naive to know how and what should I do. So when I was affraid that I got into any troubles, I came back to Hungary immediatelly from the rest of my money. I am sorry, that I was so naive. I should not have come back. It was 15years ago, but I feel sadness when I speak about it. It was funny that an old lady on the island belived I am "sardo" too, she thought I was lieing :) . I miss the sea, the red sand. I enjoyed very much the 12hours travel on the ship, I never slept so great before and after. I remeber Genova I saw from the ship. It was the most beautiful city I have ever seen. I wished I might live there. :) I like very much the way the italians speak and gesticulate. I remember the huge gelato, and the mornings breakfasts in a cafe. I remember venice, where I stoped for a few hours. The air was so warm and wet that I had fits of breathlessness (I have asthma) I was very sick, but it was wonderful. I miss italian people, so if I have a possibility to comment even their discussions, I do :) 15 years ago, when I came home I felt that was my home, I need go back, but it will be always the question of money in my life. I would not go back for only a holiday as a tourist, only to live... I am interested in life, not the history.... It is not simple..maybe later when I won't spend all my money for my flat, and daily needs. If I be retired :D
