I think it is ok. I usually don't use my whole name, but it is really all up to you.

I found it really hard to come up with a user name as everything I tried was already taken . In the end I threw all the names of my children to come up with a name as I figured there was nobody out there with all the same names I had picked for my children .I would have liked it better if I could have used the name I use for all my other sites that I am on .

I personally would never use my real name. Although I believe for the most part the people on mylot are of good nature, I always fear that one. And all it takes is one. I don't mean to scare you or be negative, it's just me. I never give out my real name.
