Do you think the softclaws, those pads for cats nails would work for dogs?

I was just curious, I've had dogs that had very scratchy nails, I've never used the stuff before but do you think it would work as well on dogs as it does on cats?

There is a company called Dr. Fosters and they sell the little plastic covers for dog's nails so that you are not hurt if they scratch you. When you clip your dog's nails you just slip these over them and they are supposed to stay on. They are on the web if you search Dr. Foster's you should find it.
