How do you get out of a bad mood?

If someone has upset them because they were being rude, thoughtless and insensitive towards you, how do you manage to put the instance behind you and not let it effect a good chunk of your day. I have a tendency to stew about stuff. It makes me even more upset because not only has someone upset me in the moment they have succeeded in putting me off for a good part of my day. Any tips for snapping out of a funk?

yeh I tend to stew a bit, I am a deep thinker and I think I tend to think about these things too much and I think I do let things affect me a little too much but I just remove myself and make myself calm down....

I usually have to pray about it, and usually sit down at the computer and concentrate on my latest project to stop thinking about my troubles.

I don't like to stew about things that make me mad. I especially hate when I am mad and can't do anything about it. I generally play music and try to relax and think about why being mad is bad for me.

When a person really gets under my skin. I have take a deep breath and go to God about. I have to talk to Him and tell Him how I am feeling and how this person has caused me to feel. I'll finally release it by forgiving the individual and also asking God to forgive me as well. Shortly after I pray I feel much, much better. I live goes on. Holding in anger and unforgiveness does more harm to you than it does the person that has wronged you. So start forgiving people that do you wrong so that God may forgive you.
