dark spots in children

how do you treat or prevent dark spots in children?
my daughter is showing signs of dark spots on her underarms. i know this is normal because she is chubby. is there any remedy for this? or can i prevent this from growing in other parts of her body?
i don't want her to grow inferior because of dark spots. any advice?
