help! need your computer xpertise!

hello guys, My boss gave me a very difficult problem. O yeah and its giving me a headache. our companies setup is this, we have two offices located in two diffrent location, both has their own network of computers, my boss wants those two office to link up their network as one where computer on both side offices can see each other. i dont have any idea on how to do that actually. any ideas guys?????

Simple, you can bridge the network. It's in win xp. But if you want it just pure and straight get a router and a hub/switch.

can i do that in a 11 mile distance between each office?Ok Im getting a bit of an idea, got myself researching the net on how will i do that. it is really frustrating though, having the hard time understanding the terminologies.wheeeeeww!

there are some ways to that: 1. You can connect the two networks into a router 2. You can do it also in a switch but you have to make sure that the IP addresses of the two network must be in the same class and network. If one of the network is in class C, the other one must be in Class C also. Example, If the first three octets of the IP addresses of the host in one network starts with 192.168.1, the other network must be in 192.168.1 also inorder for them to be considered as one network * Configurations are very important. since the two office is in different locations, you have also to consider the distance and the materials you are going to use because it could affect the transmission. * The best way is to ask appropriate persons that has full knowledge in networking to do the job.

yahh, iguess thats the best thing that i should do, anyways its not a good idea if i will learn it though?its a good learning experience, i do have some networking background but not that good. anyways i will be opt to consult someone this day about this hoping to patch this thing up and finish the whole mess. thnx!
