Seems with the heavy snowfall, we need to talk about the good and bad of snow! Some of us are still wishing we could get more than a dusting, while others are hating that they have way too much of the white stuff! What do you like most and least about snow?

The thing I like best about snow is while it is snowing and I don't have to drive anywhere. Ha,,,, then I can just sit back with a fire and watch the white stuff come down. Lots of snow makes lots of extra work. I could do with less, but then in spring I would be complaining the fields are too dry.

I like best about snow, when it is somewhere else then my city. this winter was dry in my country. It has not snowed, and it will not snow. It was like the spring all the winter. I like the snow just because my son enjoy it :)

I love the cold chill in the air. I love the clean romantic look of white snow drifts and flakes coming down. I'd like to go in a sled and glide on it. I like to look out the window while it snows, in front of a fireplace and be cozy with a cup of coco or coffee. The only thing I don't like about the snow, is when it is yellow, or black from dogs and cars. Blessings, M&M

Yes I think the snow is so pretty when it hasn't been disturbed! I miss sitting in front of the fire looking at snow and drinkng a warm toddy! I moved from North Carolina to Kentucky 13 years ago and there hasn't been enough snow here to sled in that entire 13 years. We only get dustings in Eastern Kentucky.

I love the snow. I could sit and just watch snow fall all day. I like when it's the really big flakes. I think it looks so pretty falling from the sky. My dog used to share my love for it... he would jump up trying to catch snowflakes..lol When I was a kid we would stay out all day in the snow building igloos and forts and snowmen. I love the look of freshly fallen snow at sunset. Now that you think I want to live in alaska... I hate shoveling, cleaning off my car, driving in it, walking in it. I hate the mess and the slush and salt you drag in with it. I hate the way people drive carelessly in it. So now that I'm an adult I think we need heated roads, driveways, and sidewalks for my convenience....lol

Hey, you could be on to something...imagine if that were done how much of an energy miser it would be...but in many ways it would also save energy from snow plows, sand trucks,....hmmm, go tell your idea to some engineers at MIT or someplace!

I lived in Calgary, Canada for 17 years and lived through more than my fair share of snow. The worst part of it was driving, and having to plug your car in overnight because it got so cold (all the cars there have a block heater). The best part was being able to go outside and act like a kid on the sled, building snowmen, and having snowball fights.

I often wondered about cars starting in the colder climates. Yes, I love the sledding and snowmen too, but haven't sledded in 13 years now. I moved from North Carolina to Kentucky and haven't had enough snow to sled since the move.

I would like to see some snowfall full stop! Haven't seen any in around 18 months now :-( The rest of the UK seems to have had loads, but where I am I haven't seen even a flake! I love how it makes the world look clean and pretty and almost magical, I love being silly and throwing snowballs or making a snowman! The thing I hate most is being cold when you are out in it and the dangerous conditions it presents when driving in it! I also hate how the whole of Britain comes to a standstill because we're not prepared for it!

I love playing in the snow, making snow angels, snowball fights with friends, building snow forts and just looking at the beautiful scenery with snow on the trees and lawn. I also like it when I get an extra day off from work to relax and keep warm. I do not like shoveling snow very much and scraping the snow off my car. Driving in it can be very dangerous, especially if ice is mixed in.

Well it's been years since I've been in snow so my memories might be a bit biases. I loved the way snow looked, how it could sparkle like diamonds. Of course as son as you walked on it that went away but seeing a huge field or yard covered in show and the sun shining on it can be very beautiful. It was fun to play in and make snowmen or forts with. I hated though being soaked through from it after awhile and that I'd have to go inside to get warm.

There isn't much that I like about winter and snow. I have to admit that a good storm is exciting, but only if you are safely at home and in no danger of getting stuck at work or on the road. And snow is always pretty when it's coming down. Other than that, though, I can't think of much I like about it. I hate to be cold, I hate driving in it and dealing with the way others drive in it, I hate to shovel, and I especially hate the way the piles get all dirty and brown after a few days. On the other hand, I would rather live in the "snow belt" than in a place that gets floods, hurricanes, and tornadoes. We just sit inside and watch it snow, go out and shovel or plow, and our lives go on. Our houses and lives aren't ruined when we have a storm. I've been here all my life, so it's just something I'm used to.

We had really bad snow last week and luckily I was off work sick. I have such a phobia. If they predict snow I am constantly looking at the sky to see if I can see the stars at night, to reassure myself that big white snow clouds are not there. I sometimes get up in the night to check outside and when I wake first thing in the morning I am at the window. I hate the thought of having to walk in it, I am so stiff I make myself more prone to slipping if I have no choice but to go out. I have contemplated phoning for a cab sometimes if I think it is going to be bad. I am so glad we hardly get snow, as I think I would never go out. It is a totally irrational fear I have and I hate it.

I have come to this conclusion about snow, and maybe if we all pray it will happen, yeah right! Any ways........I could care less about the snow, if it only landed on the grass and trees where it looks beautiful (and doesn't get in the way). Just think of how much easier it would be to drive and walk. You wouldn't have to shovel or plow or take it off your vehicle. Imagine that? Also, it would save the cities and towns tons of money on sanding, salting, plowing because they wouldn't need the products, or the equipment, or pay anyone to do it! Can you tell that I've thought about this often?

Robbie playing in snow. March 2005. - This is our goof ball dog. He has a ton of personality and is always making us smile. He was born with a heart problem, he was adopted at 4 months old and we were told he would not live to be more then a year old.
I like snow, way better then heat. I dislike when it gets ugly dirty though. I love watching my guys run, in the snow. This picture was taken 2 years ago in March. The dog, Robbie is now 8 years old, he was not supposed to live to be more then a year, due to a heart problem. Tomorrow we will start the day by playing in the snow! I also like to ski.

Yes, I know what you mean about it getting dirty. It is so pretty until it is touched by mankind!

I like the possibility of having a day off school! I also love the magical feel it has and playing in it. I don't like the cold that comes with it though!

I absolutely love when it snows a lot and everything is so quiet and still..the way the air is just fresh and clean off the snow..the only thing I really don't like about snow is when it mixes with rain...that means there is a very good chance someone will slip and get hurt..

I think the best part of the snow is that it scan be enjoyed from home. The worst part of it is that it is very risky to drive when snow is falling.

I hate driving back and forth to work in it. I hate shovelling it. I do like to look outside, and it looks so fresh and clean, but, beyond that, I could do without it. I realize it's February in Canada, so, I have come to expect it. No use complaining about it, there's nothing we can do about it. Learn to love it I guess.

I like snow but I am not like a big kid to play in it. I just like to watch out the as a beauty of nature when it snowing from a particular distance. What I hate most is to clean the snow in freezing cold. And also I am scared to drive in snow. So, this is the two thing I don't like about snow.

This is the first winter I actually spend living with snow, so everything is kind of new for me. I like looking through the window and watching the snow on the trees while having a nice cup of hot chocolate. I like steeping on the snow while I walk. sledding, skiing those are cool activities to do. But, it causes a lot of problems on your daily life, like car acidents, you fall if you step on ice, you might find yourself trapped in your own house if it snows heavily. So I guess that winter after winter snow might turn into a real pain in the neck...
