would you be offended if someone joked that you're gonna die tomorrow?

me and an old friend were teasing each other one morning and i teased her about having a poor eyesight because she's really old. it was a joke and i was really surprised when she counter-teased me saying that im also gonna grow old and that i would die tomorrow. i dont like jokes like that coz it creeps me. i was really offended and i told her that i didnt like her joke. and i told her, if i really die tomorrow and im already a ghost, i will hunt her and torment her forever. maybe she realized that it really offended me coz after that, she was so nice to me.

Since, you first threw a joke out. I don't think you should of been offended at all. Now if she threw the first joke out.. Than and only than could I understand you being offended.
Here are some words my momma always told me : Don't dish it out, if you can't take it.

i've always teased her about her age but i never teased her about dying and all that. i could take any jokes, but not about me dying so soon. she could have joked that tomorrow i'll turn 60 and it would be ok but not, just not, die.

If a close friend told me I was going to die tomorrow I wouldn't care! Because I know they are just joking and they mean no harm. If a stranger said that to me...YES I would be very aggrevated and angry and I would probably tell them to "go to hell"! If a friend said that and I did die I know that it wouldn't be because they wished that upon me unless they were the ones to kill me.

yeah you have a point. but she said it so seriously like she's had enough of me joking about her being old. and we're not that close and she should have been careful of her words since she doesnt really know me well.
