cases in his hospital that no one but him can solve? Why would they keep going there? =) (It kinda reminds me of Murder She Wrote--why would anyone be friends with Angela Lansbury's character....they are all either murdered or accused of murder.)

well that's normal. He's supposed to solve the hardest cases. Anyway you must remember that this is just fiction. It's like when you watched ER...you were like, man people in chicago are stupid, having accidents all the time lol. From that perspective it's a bit exagerated, but it's necessary because i don't think we'd like to see house waiting a whole chapter for some patient to come to the hospital, and once there that the patient just had a cold.

I realize it is exaggerated and fictional. I was just being a smart aleck.

dude, thats why he's there, to diagnose those patiants who can't be diagnosed by any other doctor. i'm sure other hospitals go through the same thing.

It's not unusual for affliated hospitals to transfer patients between one another in certain cases. For instance, if a person is really sick and hospital number one doesn't have the right kind of specialist, they are going to call in someone who will. I always assumed that patients were often referred to Dr. House after some other doctor had already been baffled by the case. Then again, the show is fiction, so who knows how things are happening exactly. I try not to think about it too much and just enjoy the show.
