I sometimes get chest pains or pains on the left side of my chest and they sometimes vary in location and in intensity. I wonder if any fibromyalgia patients experience that and what do you do? I had my heart checked - EKG, holter, blood tests, echocardiogram etc and everything is normal so I cant help but think this is more of like a muscular pain brought by fibromyalgia. Any thoughts or personal experience?

I don't know what it's called but I had chest pains before.. I suddenly woke up in the middle of the night because I can't breath anymore. When morning came I had it checked by a doctor. I forgot what the doctor said what it was. I was on medication and I got well.

I have not been diagnosed with fibro, although several of my family members have been. I've been seeing a neurologist, though.. she's not yet sure what's wrong with me, although I've been tested for many things. Been suffering for almost a decade now, and it was back in '98 or so when I started having chest pains, mostly in my left side. They got so bad at one point, I went to the ER. Of course every test they did turned up normal, and IMO it's like they assume I'm crazy. I wish I knew what was wrong with me. (My husband thinks it's stress related)

I just went through this acouple yrs. ago. I had chest pains and I had a stress test done.I was told everythign was normal. So the Drs. blew me off and said ,it must be FM. Everytime I have something 'different' they blame FM.Sick of it.Maybe it is, but I am tired of eveything being blamed on FM just so the Dr. doesn't waste his time on me.(I am disabled and on Medicaid)

Hello,I have been living with fibromyalgia for over 10 years now. It is the most insidious disease/disorder, as you well know because everything is totally unpredictable and many of the problems that are created are not known by many physicians, just like fibro, itself, which can cause more emotional stress, which we do not need, but seemingly are destined to have. Do not think I am being negative. There is NO place for that in our lives, but we HAVE to be realistic. I am not sure that what I am about to tell you, is your problem, but I DO have horrendous chest pains. Mine usually are usually in the center, although the pain has been in different areas on different days. I have had similar testing. The diagnosis that I was given was: the thorax is spasming. There is no treatment according to my physician.
