I got this news about fat cats losing weight. This piece may be useful to you. http://news.yahoo.com/ap/20070212/ap_on_fe_st/fat_cat . I have only street cats. Invariably, they are lean and underweight. As I am a vegetarian, I can feed them only with milk products. Street cats have very low life span, endnagered by dogs and hunters, besides malnutrition. Their getting veterinary help is ruled out. Nowadays, I am having a rethinking on feeding street cats by buying milk. When I buy milk, I buy the satchets produced by dairy companies who in turn procure milk from villagers. The villagers in their eagerness to get more money deny minimum milk to calfs of buffalos and cows. I am tempted to believe that to feed cats, we are depriving the calfs, their legitimate due. Kitten have to drink milk from their mother cats only, which are malnourished or even dead. Cats other than pets do not have economic value. How their kitten will survive? The fate of buffalos and cows is not better. The farmers feed them with grass only as long as they are lactile. The whole thing of cat economics and dairy economics makes me agitated. How do you view these ideas? Fuss about nothing?
