Friends, as we know, that this delicacy called Biriyani doesn't comes in only one style. There are different methods to cook it, each with its own special taste. The ingredients also change with the receipes. Therefore can we share here different receipes of Biriyani, so that we get to know more about its preparations.

Vegetable biriyani 2 cups rice 2 cinnamon sticks 6-8 cloves 5-6 whole cardamon 1/4 tsp. tumeric powder 2lbs. frozen mixed vegetable 1/4 cup raisins 1/4 cup cashew in a large pan boil 3-4 cups of water (enough water to cook rice). Add salt to taste, add cinnamon sticks, cardamon, cloves and tumeric powder. Add 2 cups of rice and cook the rice.... drain excess water. cook mixed vegetable seperately with enough salt. in a casserole dish, mix the rice and the vegetables. cut onions into thin stripes and fry in oil until brown. add raisins and fry. springkle fried onions, raisins and cashew on top of rice. P.S. you can fry onion, raisins and cashew on butter for a better taste. you can also fry the cloves, cinnamon and rice on butter before cooking. ENJOY

This would be nice for the veg eating people. generally they cannot experience the exotic taste of mutton or chicken biriyani. But with this receipe thay will be contended.

Sorry,My mom only knows the recipes.. because I love to eat biriyani.
