A stranger's smile fixes the day

Have you ever received a smile from a stranger? Doesn't it lighten up the day, making you feel better? And it being contagious, you too start giving smiles away to strangers! How it feels nice that someone is nice to you, and also, be nice to other people as well. :)

Yes, I've had strangers smiling at me before and yes, it definitely brightened up my day. I totally agree with you that a smile is contagious. If someone, especially a stranger smiled at me, and if I was having a really lousy day, my mood will automatically brighten up. That simple smile can be so powerful.
After that, with my cheerful mood and all, I'll be more courteous to everyone around me and I just feel very happy. I like people smiling smiling sincerely at me. I also know if somebody smiles at me but their eyes aren't smiling. Now, that does not brighten up my day at all. Instead, they will ruin it! Haha!
