Is "checking-in" really "cheap" during Valentines Day?

I've known this "custom" ever since I lost my virginity. I tried to investigate if this is true and I found out that most of motels/inns/hotels are fully reserved/occupied during the valentines season. Due to these findings, for the past few years i tried to go with the flow and do early reservations to avoid the rush bookings.. But this year, upon bringing up this idea to my friends, most of them disagree and say that is is "CHEAP" nowadays. I know that roses and chocolates are still IN during this season but what if you and your partner want to have an intimate whole day with you in place where the only two of you are there.. will it still be considered "CHEAP"?

Before I saw your profile I had an inkling that you are from the Philippines, because what I know, it's in the Philippines where motels are used for 'short time'.. I dont think it's cheap.. As I heard from the radio this morning, this is one place where people with illicit relationships express their love

I agree with you. I just checked the bookings an hour ago and its really full, even the expensive suits are also reserved. Maybe we will just stay home tonight. :)
