If your boss is blackmailing you for your silence, I wouldn't trust him. Do you really want to climb up the ladder under endorsement like that? If he's not married, it's not a big deal-particularly if his secretary is also his wife. But, if he is married, I would at least find a way to anoynomously tell his spouse. You'll know what to do, you seem to be a level-headed person with values. Good luck.

This is a really difficult situation. I probably wouldn't tell the wife as you don't know the details of their relationship, but I wouldn't accept the promotion either, that way you will be able to tell if you think its the right thing to do in the future.

Of course you should tell her. Do you really want a promotion that you got not based on your qualifications but on the fact that you're keeping his dirty little secret? Is it worth it? What is in your heart?

If secretary has no problem to have an affair with this boss of yours, why do you bother, take your promotion and enjoy. Don't tell his wife. It is better to keep out of others poeples personal matters. Why do you want to bring other peoples problems to your house. Now a days such relations are not given any importance. If I was at your place, I would forget everything and enjoy my own life.
