I've been watching a certain little guy, who has just turned two. He has what his mom calls chronic droll, now he also has a serious overbite, it's not caused by a binkie, or bottle. I'm talking an overbite where when his mouth is shut, I can easily slip my finger in the gap between the back of his front teeth and the front of his bottom teeth. He puts EVERYTHING in his mouth, if he can't find something to chew on, he'll stick his hand (not his thumb, his whole hand) into his mouth and chew on that. I'm thinking he may need to have his jaw checked out. His top lip sticks out further than his bottom lip, so I wonder if he can't close his mouth all the way and that's why he drools. And maybe it 's uncomfortable for him and that's why he chews on everything...But how do you tell a parent that her son has a serious overbite and it needs to be checked out?
