If a pronoun is a word used in place of a noun is a proverb a word used in place of a verb?

No. A proverb is popular saying.

Pronouns: He, she, it, they, we, you and I Nouns: Things, people, places and ideas. Proverb: An idiom or saying. "Do as I say, not as I do" could be said to be a proverb.
