"God Save The king" it is the national anthem of 20 countries of British colony.Do you know that? Whats your country's national anthem buddy? I am a indian and our national anthem is "Jana Gana Mana Adhinayak Jay He".It was written by Famous Rabindra Nath Tagore,the poet of famous "Gitanjali" poetry.Even he had written three songs for three country.India,Bangladesh and Srilanka all have national anthem written by Rabindranath.I cant remember the national anthem of US.It might be start with "star...".I dont know actually.What are your guys.Do you feel something when you being singing national anthem.I feel heaven and thinks I am talking to my mother India.Its amazing.Whoever Got this idea to sing a song for nation had done a great job.Whats your opinion buddy ,share with me with singing ur nation's song.I will listen by heart.Its a promise.

I live in Canada, and our national anthem is "O Canada" (not to be confused with "O Christmas Tree", which has happened on occasion). The US national anthem starts with "Oh say, can you see by the dawn's early light"
At my son's school they play the national anthem every morning, (he's in junior kindergarten) and he comes home singing it. Last time we were at the grocery store, he was singing "O Canada" at the top of his lungs. Everyone thought it was really cute.
I like O Canada because it's about honouring your country and reverence. I grew up in the States, so I've got two national anthems.

Hey I am too an Indian. I love Jana Gana Mana.... very much. Since class 1st we are singing this. But now occassionally. Some people have started comments on it which is not fair. Specially BJP. But it is accepted by most of the Indians, though there are few acceptional too. We should not mind for them. I have also read Gitanjali as it was a part of my subject in ma in english. It is really superb book. Actually this national anthem covers that times horizon which was involved in India, now the case is different. Teritory has been defined so it seems different to some people.

I am Proud to be an Indian. Would like to give some more details on the National Anthem.
Jana Gana Mana (Jôno Gôno Mono— "The Minds of All People") is the national anthem of India. Written in Bengali, it is the first of five stanzas of a poem composed by Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore. First performed in 1911, Jana Gana Mana was officially adopted by the Constituent Assembly as the Indian national anthem in January 24,1950. The musical score of the anthem was also created by Tagore. A formal rendition of the national anthem takes fifty two seconds. A shortened version consisting only the first and last lines (and taking about 20 seconds to play) is also staged occasionally

Thank you buddy for making a comment here.And same feeling for us as we are Indians.Rabindranath wrote three national anthem for three different countries.India,Bangladesh and Srilanka.
