Do you make home-made tortillas?

I do atleast twice a week. I learned how to make them thanks to my mother in-law:) I know alot of people who do make them quite a bit, but there are some who just hate to make them. I guess I'm used to it now so I like to make them and they taste great. I will cheat sometimes though, lol and buy the walmart brand that is already ready, you just add the water, but they taste almost as good as home-made ones. Do you make them and how often?

I love tortillas but I don't actually know how to make them. I have lots of great recipes for fillings such as the one that I have linked to below, but I don't have any idea how to make the tortilla itself.

I am so sorry, I don't have a recipe for making tortillas. I just learned by watching my mother in-law. She never had a step by step recipe. I you use flour, baking powder, salt and hot water, I can usually tell how much depending on how many I'm making. Rolling them out with the tortilla roller though usually takes alot of practice. I still make all kinds of shapes today but am able to make close to a circle, lol. I am so sorry again for those of you who are asking for the recipe, guess I should have said that first huh. I have tried a couple of recipes though, searching through yahoo search engine but I just found it easier the way my mother in-law showed me. When I followed the recipes the tortillas came out too hard, not very soft. The trick is to have the flour not too dry not too wet. Just moist enough to be able to roll them out.

i amke them daily... heheheh infact 3 times a day. we called it in our language ROTI. we have it fresh just before having our meal so its taste even much better. we also fry it in butter in breakfast and that version of tortilla has been called PARATHA.. it is just yummy. i also learned it from my mommy and i'm cooking it since 17 yrs.

Yes I like to make home-made tortillas, a couple of times a week, they do taste great and you can put different food inside them, I normally buy them though as they are a lot cheaper to buy than to make them, I make them a couple of times a week normally.

I've never tried to make them myself at home, but souds like a great idea! Do you have any recipes to share? We usually buy the ones that are alreday made, my husband loves to have chicken quesadillas once a week. I assume tortillas should be pretty fast and easy to make at home...
