Global warming and Cold snow storm sweeping across US

I was watching some news on Al Gore's documentary on Global warming. The next thing I watched is the cold snow storm sweeping across US. The first thing it reminded me is the spielberg movie "Day after tomorrow". Do you think Spielberg (Or the author of that story) was actually predicting future?

In both movies you speak of I believe there is a slim possibility of such occurances happening. But one also has to remember that the earthquake that happened in 2004 that shifted the Earth off it's original axis has a part in the strange weather we are now receiving. Even the slightest shift of the Earth's axis would cause changes in weather patterns and climate.
I'm not totally ignoring global warming as a factor, but there are other things that can cause weather patterns to change also.
