Today is 14th February, the day of lovers and of all flower shops that make a really great deal today and I'm wondering why it needs a special day to show and or tell my partner I love her/him? What if I do it only today and never again until next year? Does this make sence? I guess Mother Day was such a big success for florists so they made another high earning day for them called Valentine's Day and we all know love is a great to make money with. What Christmas is for retail trade, Mother's Day and Valentine's is for florists and I'm wondering what comes next? I don't like when someone is telling me when I should show my love, it doesn't need one special day for this. So Happy Valentines Day to you all my friends and members of mylot.

Would you believe here in Scotland they tried to do "happy grandparents day" I don't know if they still do it but I told my sons not to bother with it , I know my family love me by the way they talk to me , the things they do for me and the hugs I get are better than any card , I have been married so long too that I don't need a valentines card to be told My hubby loves me , he tells me all the time and me him , Its as you say all to make money xx

Kathy to be honest Valentinesday is not the Day to tell him/her that you love them, you should do that all the Time, it is the Day to celebrate the Love, to be thankful for that Love and for the Love of other People. This is how I think about Valentinesday.
