Do you feel sometimes that your life is like a Bird in a Cage?

Sometimes I get a feeling that whatever we feed to our minds, we get a feeling as if we are experiencing that. How can you say you are in the cage when you are in a free country, having freedom to do what you want to do. You can choose your job, you can choose your man/woman. YOu can have as many children as you want. You can earn as much as you can (provided you match your ambition with hardwork). If you say you are from a communist country, I agree to some extent that you are in a cage, but not otherwise. Who has put you in cage?
