Does anyone else treat their fur babies like actual children? I love my cat! I treat her a lot better than most people I know treat their children..(which is sad..) Does anyone else have an animal in their life that they treat like a child?

I have 4 cats and I love them like they are my children. Since I cannot have children, they are my kids.

I love my little Ashley, she is a wonderfully sweet kitty. I treat her as my child. She watches TV with me, cries for me when I leave (my husband says) and spends all day with me when I am home. She wakes me up in the morning to be petted. She is a very vocal kitty and I think she even tries to talk to me. I can't imagine life without her.

You are not alone. My cat is one very spoiled cat.I don't have any human kids of my own so my Moose has become my adopted child and does he ever take advantage of it! I am not ashamed to admit that I treat him like a human child

You know I do, or I wouldnt have 4 of them. Try spending time with them all equally.. *giggles* I could just imagine you going crazy doing that.

No joke..I wouldnt have a life at all if I had four little fur babies to run after. My ONE takes up all my time. LOL

Animals are so innocent and special (just like children) and I feel that they deserve pampering...why not?? I have two kitties and a dog..and I call them my children. I rock my cats to sleep and hold my dog in my arms all night as we sleep. My boyfriend and I love our animals so much that even though the dog takes up so much of the bed, we never kick him off. What's funny is that if my boyfriend can't sleep due to the lack of room, he gets up and sleeps in another bed (haha).

hehe.. Poor Boyfriend. :) My cat takes up most of my bed too, fiance gets to squeeze in when he's here. He travels a lot for work - so it's not really a problem most days. I agree, animals are innocent just like children. :) I'm throwing my cat a birthday party! My mom thinks i'm crazy.

woo hoo im not the only one who spoils their kitty cat. my boyfriend sometimes gets jealous, and my kids say that i love the cat more than them, which is not true, i just thought it was funny. she gets toys, good food, and thats from the b/f who didnt even want the cat:). hes so funny. he named her omega.the other night he asked me when i was going to be ready for another one. i think one is enough for right now though.

We love our pets very much. It feels like they get so much of our attention more than the other members of the family. They have regular visits to the vet while, we only see our doctors if the need arises. They are always pampered with food while, we have to prepare ours before we can have our bite. We are willing to go through all these sacrifices because, it is fun having them around.

Since both of my girls are in school from 7 in the morning 'till 3 in the afternoon, I find myself alone in my house. So I decided to buy a little pet bunny. Its a whole lot cheaper than buying a cat or dog. Ohhh...you wouldn't believe the kind of pampering I do for my little boy (my bunny is a male). I will always prepared different vegetables for him every day. No matter how messy those urine and feces, it doesn't matter. Best of all, it doen't yell or scream. My boy is really good.

I don't have any children and only the one cat, so yes, I treat my cat like my baby. I buy her loads of extra stuff including food, beds, and toys. If I ever do have children I don't know that I would just stop loving my cat and treating her this way, so I guess it is best that I don't have kids, I would be way more broke than I am right now. HA!

We used to have a cat that we treated like a kid. We seem to have grown apart from the kitty since me and my bf had a real baby and she doesn't really understand why we can't spend as much time making over her.

my cat is my baby boy. That's what i call him when he's being all cuddly. My boyfriend even asks me on the phone "how is your son?" and i know that he is talking about my cat CHamp. Champ and i share an apartment together, so we are just the bestest friends. i buy him lots of toys, cozy beds, and the best foods...he has gas problems so he can only have 100% natural treats. He was a rescue cat, and I never want him to be treated the way he was, or be in such ill health again. I weigh him monthly to make sure we are at a good weight, and take him in for all his regular vet visits. I believe any pet a person has should be treated like a best friend or your own child, cause after all they are family.
