that you have time for them all? How do you keep up with adding new content, linking, promoting, increasing traffic and doing all the day to day 'stuff'? I have two websites. One I haven't looked at in ages. My main website (in my profile) I'm on everyday, updating it test making changes that kind of thing. I would like to set up two or three more this year but wonder if that is realistic. What do you think?

I own and run around 7. I only have time for three. 1 i'm a major player the rest i have people helping to run and i will be adding a few more to these soon enough. Currently planning two new adventures. www.poetryartonline.com is my main project. =) If you can manage it or find people to help. again this depends on your projects then i would say go for it. personally if you can't then i wouldn't as could focus more on your current sites. Kudos ~Joey

That's what I'm thinking. Once they are set up and have SEO and steady traffic/sales the "work" does decrease. I guess the secret is not to bite off too much at one time and just build slowly. When you say you have people. Do you outsource and pay people to do certain tasks, or do you just rope your buddies into helping you out? If you do outsource, what kinds of things do you find that you delegate? Thanks for your input. :D

Well most of them are free projects. like p&a and a rock ezine, so i have nice people who want to help for nothing as they get a chance to do things. However i do run and own a webdesign company, my friend designs most of the sites now and yes i we share the profits. (he also pays two friends to design templates) aswell. =) Some of the projects are helped by community moderators or site admins. those who i gave the roles to i trust 100% =) the webdesign site is now fully ran by my friend and i know from above it makes me sound lazy lol (i'm actually not the greatest). when the times right i'll probably offer it to my friend fully. =) ~Joey P.s if you would like your site submitted into over 700+ serach engines for free to boost your traffic feel free to pm me. =)

I really have too many web sites and blogs-- as a result of which I struggle to keep them all fresh and current, content wise. I have five blogs (one personal/general and four "topic specific"), and six web sites (four of the blogs are tied to web sites). This doesn't count the assortment of discussion groups and forums I either "own" or moderate/co-moderate. And it certainly doesn't count "diversions" such as myLot and other sites I like to spend time on, now and then when the opportunity presents itself. I set as a goal for myself this year to spend time with every site/blog at least once a week-- even if it's only to update and change a single paragraph. So far I have gotten pretty close...

Wow that seems like a lot. I guess it falls into organization and time management. Like you said setting goals. I'm big on that. you do it all yourself, you don't outsource anything? I think that's excellent and hope to at some point be there. Right now, I have so much of life going on too (two high needs kids, three high need pets - lol) that I get taken away from work. Of course I'm not complaining about that. It's why I work from home in the first place. They will always come first. Thanks for your response.

I have my main website that I've had a domain for for almost 2 years now - link in profile.. i'm constantly add and rearranging or just down right changing it. And I've recently started a blogchex blog as kind of a sister site to my site. I've got a couple other blog type sites that I'm involved with. But basically only the one website that I work on. I got that search engine that pays you the other night to try it out and see what all the fuss was about. Just testing it out I typed in my username (I use imsilver for everything.. my domain is even imsilver.org). It discovered sites that I created back in '99 using free host sites online (geocities etc.. ) that I'd totally forgotten even exsisted. Made for a fun couple of hours :)

I use wahmbuddy for pretty much everything and I do check the search engine's every once in a while to see what comes up. It is kind of fun. Thanks for your answer
