My kids love tuna casserole, they would have it once a week if I'd make it that often. I can't say that I like it growing up or that it was even something my mother would make. It's easy enough to make, it's just not something I thought my kids would enjoy. We're having it for supper tonight, this is why I'm asking. Do your kids like tuna casserole?

I found some recipes: Tuna Casserole with Macaroni Ingredients: * 1 can (6 1/2 to 7 ounces) tuna, drained * 8 ounces elbow macaroni, uncooked * 1/4 cup butter * 1/4 finely chopped onion * 2 tablespoons finely chopped green bell pepper * 2 tablespoons all purpose flour * 3/4 teaspoon salt or seasoned salt * 1/8 teaspoon pepper * 1 cup milk * 1/2 cup frozen peas, thawed * 1 can cream of celery soup * 1 cup shredded Chedder cheese * 1/2 cup bread crumbs tossed with 2 teaspoons melted butter DIrections: Cook macaroni until tender, rinse and drain; set aside. Melt butter in a large saucepan or Dutch oven; add chopped onions and bell pepper and sauté over low heat for about 2 to 3 minutes, until onion is tender. Add flour, salt and pepper; stir until smooth. Add milk and cream of celery soup and stir over low heat until smooth and thickened. Add cooked macaroni, flaked tuna, peas and half of the cheese to sauce mixture, stirring constantly. Pour mixture into 2-quart buttered casserole; top with remaining cheese then buttered bread crumbs. Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes, or until tuna casserole is nicely browned. Serves 4 to 6. ========================================================================== Tuna Casserole with Green Beans Ingredients: * 2 tablespoons butter * 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour * 1/2 teaspoon salt * 1/4 teaspoon pepper * 1 1/2 cups milk * 2 cans (7 ounces each) tuna, drained, juice reserved * 1/2 teaspoon crumbled leaf thyme * 1/2 cup finely diced celery * 1 1/2 cups frozen green beans, cooked Directions: In a medium saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons of butter; blend in flour, salt, and pepper. My mom made tuna casserole at least once every two weeks when I was growing up. It was cost effective, filling and she put peas in it, so that made it good for us. As an adult, I barely ever make it, but my family likes it. My daughter likes to stick her nose up at it every time I make it, but she always eats it.

I'd never really had it, my kids were eating dinner at my friends house one night and she had it. Since then, my kids just love the stuff.

I do not have kids, but I love Tuna noodle casserole. I have tried many different peoples Casserole, and some are definately better than others. My husband makes this for me about 2 times a month if I ask. It must be pretty good because I have a girl I work with that likes it as well.

No, alas I have yet to taste one that I like myself. I like tuna in a sandwich but not cooked. I also don't like it with pasta. Maybe I'm getting it wrong. Any suggestions?
