When Harry Met Sally- Their journey begins when they are forced to drive across the country together to begin their new lives in the busy New York City. Harry is a cynical, presumptious male and Sally is a naive, extremely picky woman. Over the years they meet over and over till finally they become friends. This movie has funny dialogue, warm and vibrant characters and a realism that brings it leagues above other movies of this type.

Sleepless in Seattle is a 1993 movie, directed by Nora Ephron, based on the story by Jeff Arch. The film stars Tom Hanks as Sam Baldwin and Meg Ryan as Annie Reed.Sam Baldwin, a Chicago architect, has just lost his wife to cancer and decides he needs a complete change of scene. He and his eight-year old son Jonah move to Seattle but Jonah thinks that his father needs a new wife in order to get his life back on track. One evening, he calls into a national radio advice show and persuades his father to also go on the air. The voice (and call) is heard by thousands of women across the nation, including Annie Reed, a journalist from Baltimore, Maryland. Annie, although engaged to be married to Walter, can't rest until she meets Sam, which she eventually does, at the top of the Empire State Building in New York City. Sleepless in Seattle was nominated for two 1994 Academy Awards: Best Music, Original Song for "A Wink and a Smile", music by Marc Shaiman, lyrics by Ramsey McLean; and Best Writing, Screenplay Written Directly for the Screen for Nora Ephron, David S. Ward, and Jeff Arch. The film is essentially a reworking of An Affair to Remember, using both its theme song and clips from the film in critical scenes as well as the meeting at the Empire State Building. At one point, some of the characters discuss the film, with Sam commenting that it sounds like a "chick movie." The success of Sleepless in Seattle led to a resurgence in popularity for An Affair to Remember to a younger generation of filmgoers.Starring: * Tom Hanks: Sam Baldwin * Meg Ryan: Annie Reed * Bill Pullman: Walter * Ross Malinger: Jonah Baldwin * Rosie O'Donnell: Becky * Gaby Hoffmann: Jessica * Victor Garber: Greg * Rita Wilson: Suzy * Barbara Garrick: Victoria * Carey Lowell: Maggie Abbott Baldwin * David Hyde Pierce: Dennis Reed * Dana Ivey: Claire Bennett * Rob Reiner: Jay Credits: * Director: Nora Ephron * Writer: Jeff Arch * Producer: Jane Bartelme * Music: Marc Shaiman * Cinematography: Sven Nykvist * Editor: Robert M. Oh, yes, Never Been Kissed is very good. Molly Shannon was poorly used, but Drew Barrymore was great. And outside of Alias, Michael Vartan has never been better.

“The Notebook” is the story of a boy from the poor side of the tracks who – predictably – falls for a beautiful, rich girl. What is not so predictable is how far he’ll go to prove they were meant to be together.

Well, I guess I have some older favorites and some newer favorites for romantic movies. 'Seven Brides for Seven Brothers' is I think a 50's or 60's movie that is also a musical. 'Playing by Heart' I believe was released in the late 1990's. It stars Jon Stewart and Gillian Anderson, but it also has a very wide range of actors/actresses. My newest favorite is 'How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days.' A little different than the usual boy meets girl formulaic plot. But I'll always go back to my favorite of all time, 'While You Were Sleeping' with Bill Pullman and Sandra Bullock. She has some of the greatest lines. This is a summary of one, 'You know how you see someone and you think, if they just knew you, the real you, and they could see how you are, they would of course dump the perfect model they were with and devote themselves to you.' A classic, in true form.

Hi!!!! I have lots of favorite romantic movies but I really love this Korean movie "A MOMENT TO REMEMBER." I don't know if you're familiar with it. I love it cause the guy really stick with his wife inspite of the woman's disease (Alzheimers). I know it's a sad, love story but I was really touched. He really did everything for her.;)
