What age do you think is good to start taking your kids to the movies? I always take my daughter to see kids movies, we probably started when she was three. She was always really well behaved and never acted up. My husband keeps talking about taking our son to a mivie and he isn't even two yet!! Just knowing my little boy I know he won't sit still for two minutes. What age do you think is good to start taking kids to the movies?

I started taking my child to the movies when she was one. I dont think its dangerous to the young children if taken to the movies coz they also make fun of it. My little girl wanted to sit for how many minutes but she will go up and having time to walk around maybe because she's curious why is it very dark inside the movie house.

We always took our children to see children's movies. We started around age 3 or 4. They need to learn proper social behavior and public behavior. The majority of the people in the theater had children so they hopefully understood when ours needed to use the restroom. We sat on the edge of the aisle so that we wouldn't disturb anyone by getting out. The Disney films were great!

Really depends on the child. We use to take my son to movies when he was still an infant (we use to go during nap times or after his bed time). I think this bred him to be well behaved while in a movie theater. Two or three is probably a good age, but only to movie that have a lot of action in them and are geared for young children.

my daughter was 2 and a half when i first took her to the movie theatre. she was really good and sat quietly during the movie. she's been about 5 times now and it's a great activity for us to do together.

I took my boys with me to the movies from the time they were born. When they were little they would sleep through it and then as they grew older they would watch the movies. It all depends on your kids. If you don't feel your son will sit through a movie try taking him to one and see how long he does. Be prepared to leave early if need be. I wouldn't take your daughter with you as she would prob be very upset if you had to leave early. Good luck and best wishes!

I have four kids and I take 3 of them to the movies. I go to the 2 dollar show so if for some reason they start acting up we can leave. That way i don't feel like i'm wasting alot of money. My kids are7,6,4,and 1.

Yes, we take our children to the movies. We took them last year to see Curious George, Ice Age 2 and Chicken Little. My kids at the time were 5 & 3 and they are always good at the movies. We have never had to leave a movie because they have misbehaved, and we have them go to the bathroom before the movie starts so we don't have to leave to go during the movie. They sit there in their own seats and eat their popcorn and drink their drink and watch the movie. I think it depends on your child when you are determining a good age to start taking them to the movies. My son started going with us at the age of 3 and my daughter was 3 1/2 before we could take her.
