Where's the religion gone?

I don't know if it is a sign of the times or if it is the move i have made to this area. When i lived in the city Roman Catholic churches were overly abundant. Now i live in the country and here there are alot of other churches but few roman catholic. I watch on the news all of the big catholic schools closing up in the city. What about our kids? What about mine? I have to admit that i have not belonged to a church regularly for about 13- 14 yrs. But i feel as though i should and i want to for my kids. i went to church every sunday as a kid. With out my mom. i just went. I made my communion and even seeked out teen groups as i got older. I had my daughter when i was a teen and was too embarassed to go. i got up courage because i wanted her baptised and the priest ridiculed me and i never did go back. i've found excuse after excuse and now i have 3 unbaptised children. i want to change this. We talk about god and my oldest seems like i was about religion she has joined teen groups out here (at first for the events and friends but it grew into a love for God) She even went to bible camp last summer. i am finding though that the long diconnection from the church has made it harder for me to do this with the other two kids. I think it is important to keep the catholic churches funded and alive.

its human choice about this, but Sometimes another way of phrasing an answer will help me understand my own belief system or lead me into searching for even more answers to what answers I have already gotten that no longer see based in reality. Either way I learn to respect someones right to be wrong. I will never learn what people really think if i shut them up....let them share what they believe with others, both we and they have that right in a free society. If we wish to keep it a free society all persons must be free express what they feel without exception.

Who do you mean they? My kids? If so then i should tell you that i believe they should learn about my religion first "because i said so". then when they are capable adults they can choose on thier own to take up other religious alternatives. Which at that point they will have my complete support.
