Do you know the myth about Pandora's box? How do we relate it in our everyday living?

I'm familiar with the story, though I was really young when I last heard it. It translate simply to "What's good for the gander is not nescessarily good for the goose. In search of Shangrila we have also found Hell. To avoid the steps of the box is not living. Curiousity is our weakness and greatest strength. Every Ying has a Yang. And we should accept that, though we never do hence we are always caught off guard by the unexpected revelations of Pandora's box. But you don't have to take my word for it. ;-)

No but I think it is similar to the troy's trojan horse and napoleon's waterloo. Well, everytime I memorize stuff, I can easily forget. I feel bad about this considering my profession

Indeed, there are similarities. They're too good to be true :)

It's like the saying "Opening up a can of worms". Something that might seem good at the time, but could lead to bad consequences in the future. I guess we could relate to our everyday living by taking into account not only the immediate effect of our actions and decisions, but their long term effect as well not only for ourselves but for everyone else around us.
