What is the right age to start excercise for a baby?

I am suggested by many people to take my 18 months old child to the little-gym. But I think I should wait till he learns to speak and say his problems. I am interested in knowing your opinion. What is the right age to start the gym for a baby?

from the moment the can move better... get them up and going. it is great to get them into it now then not at all... and getting around other kids is a great thing.
