Indian Managerial System - Arrogance or diplomacy?

In my opinion diplomacy hardly works in Indian Managerial System. Only arrogant managers are sucessful. Is it because from child hood we are trained to bow down to arrogance(e.g., A child studies the particular subject in the fear of scoldings and corporal punishment from the teacher). Do we carry the same torch when we become adults? Is there an alternative?

Are you saying that indian managers are really taught to be arrogant? Then no wonder indians whom we communicate with from time to time are thought of to be either tactless, arrogant, or simply inconsiderate. They use words that are not professional enough in the sense that they do not consider the other party's imperfections... And once a problem occurs that is traceable to their end, they are but defensive and are aching to get back no matter what.
