Am I the only one that sensed something strange in the handling of the last four contestants tonihgt?... Sorry I don't know all of their names but when they brought them in two at a time and the first 2 were the girls..they showed outakes from the Hollywood week and they actually let you hear what the judges were saying. The girl that got sent home tonight was the one they commented was the very best of the entire day...then when they let her know she would not be in the top 24...it was weird...they said she was top notch...star material..with a fabulous career ahead of her..then they said they would definitely be seeing her...Now usually they say come back next year if they are THAT good...but they just let her go...but with a feeling that she was excellent...Okay...I really thought they were going to somehow bring her back as an alternate or something from the way they built her up...Then the last 2 guys..sundance and ????? and the same thing happened...they picked Sundance and went on about how great the other guy was..and showed them talking about him being such a better singer than all the other guys...Again I thought...something weird is going on....but they also just dismissed him...You could tell both the last 2 guy and girl that were let go were in shock...everyone in that room at the beginning of the day thought those would be the 2 that made it over everyone!!!!! What do you think happened? If they were the best talent do you think it is some personality or personal issue we were not shown? Or do you think that somehow they are going to bring these 2 into the show somehow...or maybe give them contracts? I have watched this show since season 2 and never have seen them dismiss anyone that they said had the most talent...and didn't screw up...It must just be that they ran out of space? Maybe I'm crazy..but I really was shocked...I just felt like there was something more going on...How about you..???? Is it my natural redheaded lunacy?...Did I miss something with these two...? Are the stars just not aligned? lol....what is up with those last 2 dismissals?...

I think they made a BIG mistake with the last two girls. The one they let go should have stayed. The other one forgot her words the day before. The one who left sang better too. What is going on? Same thing with the guys. And what are they rushing for? This season they have been rushing everything. Paula looks like she is just physically there. I have watched every season every show, something is going on and the whole show was never presented like this before. I am glad I saw your post because I thought I was the only one seeing this.

I agree with the statement about the 2 girls...both were really good...but they send entire lines of people home night before last for forgetting their lines..when did that rule change?...It should be an interesting season, though...there appears to be some real talent in the group!!! I'm glad it's time to start the competition and that the auditions are over!!!! Also glad it wasn't just me thinking something was strange!!! Thanks for confirming that for me!!

That was really strange, how they sent the one home that they said was the best one for the day, maybe they are going to bring her back she may come back as a surprrse to everyone. Oh yes there must of been something that the audience and people watching this show were not informed about, or maybe they have contracts with other agencies and had to let them go

I noticed the same thing with this show. It is normal to bring in the last four contestants two at a time but the way the judges handled and made their final decisions seemed weird to me. If they liked the ones they let go so much, they should have had space for them to continue on with the show. They should have let go of someone earlier that they picked to move on or let go of the ones they were paired up with. Maybe they did not feel the other people would have a chance in this competition if they had kept these people. I guess we will watch and wait and see what actually does happen with the rest of show or pay attention to the news. I also wonder if they did a background check and found something on these people which caused them to be booted off or they broke any American Idol rules.
