Well, I've had this Olympus digital since Christmas, but I've got some serious queries about digital photography. For one, I've noticed that when I take a cd of pictures to the local photography place, and they print them off, they don't look nearly as good as my old film photos do. I'm wondering if that's because in order to fit more pictures on the computer, I change the resolution. Would that make my digital pictures look worse than film pictures? Or do they just do that naturally? All my photos look pretty good on the computer screen, it's just when I have them printed that I have this problem.

If you are sure of taking prints of photos taken by digital camera just keep resolution at best,
3MP minimum for the postcard size print and 5MP for A4 size would look good. I have printed them as above and they came out as good as the analogue (FILM) photograph. If you are going to print a life size better use film.
