i remember 100 for police, 101 for fire, that's it. normally one should feed such emergency numbers in one's mobile in emergency call buttons but i haven't done that yet. i know how impoertant and life-saving these numbers can be. i've faced an emergency situation once when there was a huge fire in one corner of my house. i didn't know fire helpline number and could have landed in a deep trouble, only if my cousin was not there at that moment. we both fought the fire all on ourselves for one and a half hours by throwing hundreds of buckets of water over the fire. this reminds me of feeding emergecy numbers on my mobile. thanks.

Oh well there is the obvious one for fire police etc (all one number in the UK), a couple of directory enquiry numbers, National Health Service number. Thats about it but I think those are the most important numbers to remember!

Wow, you have different numbers for different emergencies? In the United states, we have one number for emergencies (911) and for non-emergecnies, you can call the agency (fire, police, etc) directly. i also remember 1-800-DONT-CUT. It's a hotline for people who cut themselves. i have NO idea why i remember this one. i have never called it and never will.
