When a not so good thing happens and you need to tell others about it. How do you start? Deaths, ailments, and other tragedies happen day in and day out. And there is the necessity to inform others. How do you do it?

Bad news have to be broken with empathy and emotional calm. there should be no panic or excitement while doing so. Your calmness will help the person to whom you are breaking the news.

in my opinion i cannot inform bad news in a staight way. i tell the news in a step by step procedure so that the person who hear the bad news can feel much better.

maybe bacuase i'm a very frank person and i'm also strong willed, that's why i always get the responsibility of breaking a bad news for a loved one and even with friends. yes, there is a necessity to inform others of what has happened, and telling them is the hardest of all things to do but you still have to do it. when i say things as such, i don't do stories, i simply visit the person and simply hug them and tell them what has happened and then i accompany them all through the day.

Normally, I try to assess the person's well being ( if he has eaten already, does not have any illness) before I break the bad news. And if the person does not have any ailment, then I break the news softly and gently. Ask him/her to remain calm.
