Hello gharinder.. Currently, I am using avira antivir personal classic edition. I have been using this software for almost two years. Since using it, I have never encountered any problems at all with regards to the overall function and system performance of my machine. Otherwise, I am so impressed and satisfied with its overall performance. It updates on a regular basis and this can be scheduled at your most convenient or spare time. It is very light on resources and does not use a lot of memory. Hence, does not slow down your computer. It detects and deletes rootkits, worms, and other viruses. This can be downloaded at their official website at www.free-av.com For your questions, you can visit forum.avira.com Hope this would help. Have a nice day and God speed!

There are many Anti-virus softwares available in the market, in my view some of the best anti-virus softwares are 1.McAfee. 2.Norton Antivirus. 3.Zone Alaram. 4.Aig Along with this anti-virus softwares you should also run a FIREWALL which gives you additional protection from all types of external attacks, other softwares which i suggest you is TUNEUP-UTILITIES its a must software for all pcs to keep then clean and tidy, it regularly checks the registry files and keep them clean always making your system performence faster. The last but not the least is ADAWARE SE PERSONAL its the best to keep all the spywares away from your system, try all these softwares to keep your system clean and spyware free.

if you really want a protection with a helthy computer please DONT USE norton antivirus and mcaffee antivirus as they are resources hungry and tends to create issues with your operating system. for me the best softwares are: 1. zone alarm antivirus 2. pc-cillin antivirus 3. kaspersky anti-virus 4. nod32 antivirus these are the best things you can go for. i'm in this profession from last 4 years and i'm suffered a lot form norton and mcaffee. so please stay away from these softwares. avg is a free antivirus but its not 100% safe.so dont rely on stand alone avg antivirus. best of luck and protect your system well.

before i was a norton fanatic but then my technician told me it slows up my computer and so she suggested me to use avast a.k.a. avg. but then there was this virus that entered my pc and couldn't removed it and keep on appearing saying there's a virus. been trying to put it on chest or remove permanently but just don't work and keep on spamming. anyway, i switched to computer alliance anti-virus. i am using the free version. i works like avast but in my opinion is better coz it removed the virus that the avast couldn't.

Hi! try avast. I think it's the best: - free, quick auto-update - high detection rate - very light and unobtrusive Bye

Thier website can be found at www.grisoft.com AVG is the best I have ever used against computer viruses and anti-spy ware and things Lynn-Marie

I think Panda Antivirus is really good. It could pick up viruses that other software cannot. However, I think there is a downside. It kinds of makes my computer slower or something because it scans through almost everything. But I still use it because I tend to visit those China sites and always have virus or spyware.

i have been searching for the best anti-virus for sometime already but still in vain.Every anti-virus in the market now has its pro's and con's that wouldnt make them 100% the best or perfect.I'm currently using free anti virus AVG.this free AV is good enough to prevent your computer from harmful viruses. However once infected ,AVG is useless..it cant completely heal or delete it.I heard that Mcfree is good enough.
