I am wonder what anyone would suggest in buying skillets and cookers. In a skillet I want one non stick, but not covered with that tefflon stuff cause I use metal spatuals and so on,and there can't be used with that stuff cause of scratching it off.Plus IO think it leaves a bad smell and taste on things you cook for along time after it being bought. And as for cookers,I need to find one I can use a mixer in with out chipping or marki9ng badly, again no tefflon stuff need there either.Any ideas what I should look for ,and suggestions?

You are not going to find non stick that you can do all of that with, however you should look for a very heavy pan and to buy a good one will be quite evpensive. You want to look for a heavy bottom and thick sides. I dont know where you live but I would try looking in a high end department store. It is worth paying more to get good cookware. As far as non stick if you heat the pan properly things dont stick as much. The only thing I use telflon for is eggs. Talk to someone in the department (cooking) and they will be able to show you what you are looking for. It took me quite a while to get a set of good pans but trust me it is so worth it.

I bought a non stick skillet pan from Wal*Mart and it was great to cook pancakes and eggs. But then my boyfriend somehow managed to burn something on it and now food sticks on that certain part. Thankfully it was around $4.97 so not too expensive to replace.
