What discontinued item were you most happy to see go?

So we've already talked about the products that still make us cry when we think about how they were taken away from those of us who loved it so, but what about the ones that we didn't like? What LUSH product did you cheerfully wave out the door? For me, I think I am most pleased that Ginger is being discontinued. Even if I liked the scent more, it is just so expensive. Also, I'm excited to see what might replace it.

I'm with Krebstar on being pretty happy to see Ginger go. I didn't like the smell at all. In fact it smelled nothing like I would imagine "ginger" to smell anway. Really, I don't like either of the main fragrence lines that LUSH currently has (Ginger or Karma). I'm excited and really hope that they come out with something I do like. It would make fragreance layering so much easier. Of course, and especially with the recent price hike, expense is probably still going to be an issue. Maybe my wallet is better off with the fragrence lines being something I don't like ;-)

I actually enjoy the Karma scent, but the cream alone is enough for me. Layering Karma can just sorta become overpowering if you ask me. I'm hoping the new scent will be lighter and maybe even a little fruity. I'll have to see if there are any good rumors going on about it in the LUSH forum.

Kate, that is an exellent point. Each time that LUSH has a forum fragrance round, people go nuts for them. People go so crazy in fact that they don't even blink an eye at teh expensive shipping for the UK or the rather high price of the fragrance themselves. What I also find astounding is how much people are willing to pay for even small samples of these scents (which I never quite understood because why get hooked on something you can't get). I wonder if these fragrances are just too expensive to make all the time.

I also am happy that the Ginger lines was disconned. I never cared for the scent..(and I would usually stay clear of the display at the shops too.. this scent was just way too strong for my tastes). I am not a fan of Karma either. I would be so excited to see them come out with another fragrance. I'm not sure why they don't have more perfumes. The demand is there.. you just have to look at ebay to see this.

I was not disappointed to see Rainbow Warrior go. I know some loved it, but I thought it smelled awful.

I never got to try Rainbow Warrior, but I must admit that I am shocked to see how crazy some people are about it on the LUSH forum. I mean, LUSH stuff is expensive enough as is, but I've seem those little babies go for twice the original price AND they are kinda old and dusty by now.

I would be in serious financial trouble if RW ever won a d/c round.

I was glad to see the softy go. It smelled like old ladies... and left really ugly dried brown flowers all over my tub. I was really excited to get it and just not impressed at all when I finally tried it.

I don't know that I'm ever actually HAPPY to see a product go, as if I don't like a product, I don't buy it, so it's essentially like it doesn't exist. So I'm sure there have been some products disconned that I wasn't upset about... but I don't remember them, cause I didn't care :P There have been a lot of products that I never tried, and I was therefore upset cause I hate seeing products go before I've tried them. But I wasn't upset because I liked them (or even thought I would like them, really...)

I'm actually quite happy to see certain products go because them there is a pretty good chance that LUSH will make new products in that line that I will hopefully like. For instance, with the discontinuation of Ginger, perhaps LUSH might make a perfume that I might like enough to buy now. LOL! It actually makes me happy sometimes to know that products I dislike will no longer take up precious shelf space in the store.

Yeah, not too fond of the Ginger fragrance, so wasn't too sad to see it go. Bamboo was definitely not that impressive a soap or fragrance, so that was rightfully disconned, imho. I can see how it didn't sell so much. Seaweed Sushi was interesting to use, but also a pain and smelled horrible. I only ever tried a sample of it back when I used to order through Canadian mail order, though. Anything Karma I'm not so crazy about, but the soap is much nicer than the other Karma products, so as long as they don't discon the soap, I'm fine with anything else. Heh heh. Gosh, I can't think of anything else that I was GLAD to see go. I'm just a sentimental fool, though. :o)

I was happy to see Red Rooster go. And I wasn't a fan of Ginger either, so that was fine by me to go, too.

I'm with you. I hope the door hits gingers rear on the way out. Its way too expensive for something so plain! Its been disconned for ages and we still have a pile full in my shop, which just goes to show how popular it is...

LoL! It's nice to see someone else who feels as strongly about Ginger as I do. That precious shelf space shoud be getting used for something else. Something much better in fact!

the only Ginger we had left were a few dusting powders. I'm sad to see it going. it was the best soap for shaving and the perfume is lovely on my skin. but most of all I miss the ballistic, which went ages ago.

I was glad when Red Rooster went- not that I use soap much but it wasn't the nicest smell.... and Rainbow Worrier was a bit funny smell too!
