Did Studies use for practical life?

We have studied lot of theories,formulaes,procedures etc.. in BIG Books.These are all used only to pass the exam.Studies must be used for practical life.
What can we do?

I think, we go to school/college bcoz it teaches us how to live in the present world. As far as practical life is concerned, it totally depends upon the individual's thinking. Studies help us teaching the mechanism of life. Theories, formulaes, procedures etc. etc. just teach us that how can we resolve the things in a simple manner.
