High schools turned into a chaotic mess because of cell phones

Last year, I couldn't even keep my chorus from trying to use their cell phones during the concert itself! I also took the chorus to a district competition and the organizers were up in arms because of the cell-phone beeps during the concert when other groups were performing. Earlier in the year I tried to ban cell phones from class and was not able to do so. I actually tried confiscating cell phones and the students became so angry they almost attacked me. Administrators could do nothing; parents just backed their kids. It was hopeless and I am no logner teaching. Cell phones arfe a scourge and a curse and we should destroy all of them before they destroy us.
